  good ol' l.u.
i used to dread going to la union back when i was still in high school. maybe it's the traffic, maybe it's the heat, or maybe it was just the feeling angsty, technology-dependent teenage attitude that prevented me from having fun whenever we went there. but when my world has become a bit noisier, i've realized that everyone needs to retreat to a place of peace and quiet every once in a while, and i began to appreciate going there. plus the fact that we've discovered really nice beaches around the place a few years ago.

we just arrived from la union yesterday with my family and neil. i was supposed to bring my large pile of cases with me, but i uninentionally left my bag at home. and no, i refuse to provide a psychoanalytic interpretation for that. anyway, i'm glad i left it, since i don't think i would've been able to squeeze it study time throughout our stay. besides, i was too busy taking pictures and videotaping the trip. i actually brought 4 cameras, excluding the camera in my phone, and a videocam. i always kept my siblings in the states updated by sending them images through my phone. we all had fun swimming in san juan (although we never went beyond a few meters away from the shore because of the enormous waves), picking up rocks in luna, pigging out on local delicacies, playing vtech (hehe), laughing and reminiscing with my family, playing with bianca and patti, laughing and talking about stuff with neil in the little nipa hut outside while breathing in the fresh december air.

these are some of our pics. the more artsy fartsy ones i uploaded in my lomohome and there's one in my fotolog. sorry if they take too long to load.
